Are you open every day?

Food is sometimes available briefly on Tuesday-Friday mornings. We also post on social media when surprise donations are available that need to be distributed quickly. Our pantry is open every Saturday.

What are your hours?

Our pantry operates every Saturday between 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM.

Where are you located?

Our pantry is at Gus Garcia Recreation Center, 1201 E. Rundberg Lane, Austin, TX 78753, on CapMetro bus route 325.

Do you deliver?

We are not able to deliver.

Can I get help with rent, bills, etc?

We cannot help directly but we can refer you to places. We recommend joining our Carol’s Kindness+ Facebook group and the Austin Mutual Aid Facebook group for other resources.

How can I volunteer?

Sign up on our volunteer page.

Can my child volunteer?

We ask that children 10 and up volunteer with a parent. Children over 14 may volunteer with parental permission.

Can you sign community service forms?

We can sign community service forms but please contact us in advance.

Can I share your information on my site/use your information for my site?

Can I call on businesses to donate to you? What kind of donations do you take?

Please visit our Donate Food page for more information or contact us to discuss this first. We take canned food, dry staples, and fresh foods that we can safely transport and store for distribution.

Do you take out-of-date/expired foods?

Yes, as long as it is in good condition.

How do I sign up for the pantry?

We do not have pre-registration. Sign in with your demographic information when you arrive at the pantry on our sign in sheet and wait to be called. For more information, go to our Visit Pantry page.
